Sheriff James A. Hardy, the 28th Sheriff of Hillsborough County, was elected to his first term in 2002
and re-elected up to his
fourth term in 2008.
Sheriff Hardy has been a member of the New Hampshire law
enforcement community for 30 years.
Sheriff Hardy joined the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in
1981 as a Deputy Sheriff. He has served three Sheriff's,
advancing through the ranks over the years as a Sergeant,
Lieutenant and Captain.
Sheriff Hardy has served as a member of the Pelham Board of
Selectman and is a former State Representative.
Sheriff Hardy commands a force of
Deputies who serve the most populated county in New Hampshire,
including the state's two largest cites, Manchester and Nashua.
