2004 - Sheriff James A. Hardy proudly announces the
promotions of three Deputy Sheriffs to the rank of
Sergeant. The new sergeants were sworn in during a
ceremony held on March 11, 2004. In attendance were the
sergeant's families, friends and coworkers. After the
ceremony a reception was held at the Sheriff's Office to
celebrate the occasion. Sergeant
William Barry began his career with the department in
1985. During this time Bill served as a Dispatcher, Court
Security Officer, and with the Civil,
Transportation, and
Warrants Division. Bill has been credited for solving some
of the most difficult fugitive investigations in recent years. Sergeant
Richard Young began his career serving his country in the United
States Air Force in 1964. He was discharged in 1968 at the
rank of Sergeant. Dick joined the Pelham New Hampshire
Police Department in 1978 and worked his way through the ranks
attaining the position of Chief of Police in 1986. After
retiring from the Pelham Police
Department, Dick came to the
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in 1990 where he served in
the Civil and Transportation
Divisions. Sergeant
Thomas Kalantzis began his career serving his country in the
United States Air Force in 1990 and is also a Veteran of
Operation Desert Storm. In 1996, Tom served as a
Correctional Officer with the New Hampshire Department of
Corrections. In 2001, Tom came to the Hillsborough County
Sheriff's Office where he served in the Transportation and
Warrants Divisions. Should
